Nilsen's room. 2011

This was a piece I created, based on research I found to do with Dennis Nilse, the serial killer. It was a mixed media piece, using print, clay and found objects. The items were placed to portray a disected room, a hand is visible under the floor boards. The wall paper was created, using print of a simple, but typical, wall paper design over the top of a blog I found online, written by one of Nilsen's vicims sons. The writing is visible through the wall paper design. This piece was to symbolise Nilsen's victims and their family members being placed in to the background. Barely visible/noticable, because everyone is so wrapped up in Nilsen him self, and not the people that were left to suffer after his destructive behabiour.
